Hello, and welcome to Spokenworld.com!

In 1999, when Internet Radio was new, and pod-casting was a pipe dream years away, a little known startup called NetRadioLive tried to make a go of live internet radio, with a lineup of eclectic shows.

One of those shows was Spokenworld.com, a live spoken word roller coaster ride hosted by Bob Nelson. The show lasted almost two years, then quietly faded away as NetRadioLive slowly crumbled away.

But Bob held on to the domain, and in 2008, when he formed Brick Cave Media, decided that Spokenworld.com was one of the domains he wanted to get something going with. Partnering with Anthology.org, Brick Cave Media laid plans to restart the broadcasts.  After a year and a half of testing new open source solutions, and figuring out the best way to proceed, Bob is finally ready to get it started again.
